Capt. Cosmas G. Niagwan
Capt. Niagwan was one of the second generation seafarers trained by the NNSL. He worked for the company until the late 1980s when he resigned to join Bulkship Nigeria Ltd as Shipping Manager. In 1993, he joined the National Maritime Authority as Director of Technical Services. In 1995, he was seconded to the Federal Ministry of Transport to serve as the Government-appointed Liquidator of the NNSL. The following publication of Transport Monitor (22 April 2001) chronicles his management of the liquidation exercise, with an exclusive interview of his experiences.
